8 months pregnant

I only have eight more weeks to go! I'm excited, and ready to be done! I'm tired. All the time. I can't imagine being this big and NOT being pregnant. Just being this uncomfortable would be enough for me to want to go work out. I can't wait until the middle to end of march when I can start getting back in shape and i won't have a baby inside of me.

We're signing the lease tomorrow with our new landlord, and we'll get to find out exactly when we can move in, but it won't be for another month from now probably because there are people living there right now. We played the wii tonight at our friend Kira's house and it was really fun. Oh, I'm ready to be done with work too. I'm too tired for work. Is there a job where I can just stay at home and sleep all the time because that's what I need right now.

It was my one goal not to get sick while pregnant, and here I am sick....so sick. I can't remember the last time I felt this awful. But anyway, we found a house today, and we snatched it up! :)

It's so much money, even though it's only 150 more than what we pay right now....renting in baton rouge is RIDICULOUS. But, in a month when we move in, I will no longer have to hear or see:

-the alarm going off across the street,

-our next door neighbors yelling loudly in spanish

-our upstairs neighbor taking a piss/drying shoes in their dryer/partying/stomping around

-loud bass from thumping cars

-music coming from the clubs that are in Tigerland

-the phrase "what's up big dawg....!?" shannon knows what I'm talking about. lol.

-people talking right outside our windows!

YES!

YES! OH YES!

So the house is in a granny neighborhood, still pretty close to LSU (you can take the bus to the school from there and it's a straight shot), has nice landscaping and a HUGE backyard which we will have to mow! crazy! But it has a washer and dryer, dishwasher 3 bedrooms and it's cute. It's perfect for us, and I can't wait to move in.

YAY!

I just wish I didn't have a cold!

and...... Christmas was fantastic. Santa also somehow managed to bring me a nintendo ds, which means I must have been REALLY good this year.

I'm wondering what I'm doing here. I don't know if I can (or want) to finish school here. I don't know what I want to do. I just woke up from a dream where something really unfair happened to me, and all I could do was scream at everyone I knew that I hated it here. Goodbye to the year that....

I got married

I moved to the south

lost my vehicle

quit the one job I've ever had that I felt passionate about and felt like I belonged at

paid a ridiculous amount of money for nine hours of courses that I shouldn't have had to take

stopped writing

stopped smoking

stopped drinking

and goodbye to the year that

stole the new harry potter movie from me and countless other fans

was full of get-togethers with friends at our place in the Paseo

we went on one last baby-free fantastic road trip with some amazing people (Chris, Shannon and Hannah love you guys!)

I learned how much fun road bikes are

I took up an obsession/interest in all things owl-related

we played foosball and hung out at the lees

I don't know, bad, good...a lot has gone down. I miss my family and my friends more than anything. But I'm happy for the departure from sameness. Oklahoma wasn't so bad, but it was time to leave. I just think it's funny that it wasn't hard to leave at all.....it was easy. But being here, and staying here is hard.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do here, or what I'm supposed to accomplish. My priorities have changed since we are having Sophia, but I still feel unfullfilled. I'm going to take this semester off, and that terrifies me. I've been in college for a long time. LSU is ok. It's unfullfilling for me. Starbucks is dead to me here. Gamestop is retail with a lot of silly people who can be assholes. I like everyone I work with and they seem to like me so I guess that is the important thing.

So just work and taking care of a baby the first half of this year. Crazy.

And I think we decided we ARE going to try to move before Sophia gets here. It's AWFUL timing because there's not a lot I can do because of not lifting stuff, but I can help pack and get everything ready to move out. The hard part is finding a place. I think we're going to start looking more seriously the sooner school gets here (i.e. paycheck from shannon's new job and some student loan money to help us move) Because one of the reasons I hate living in Baton Rouge so much is because of WHERE we live exactly. I don't even want to talk about it, but it's awful. I'll say that.

Today is Shannon's last day of work at the fake starbucks in Barnes and Noble! He starts his job at the school next Monday I think. :)

I want to start packing. bzzz.

Today I have the strange and sometimes painful sensation of a rib popping in and out of place periodically,a bloody nose this morning, and something twitching in my stomach reminding me, "yes I'm still here." It snowed last week in the town that never gets snow. I took a picture for proof. I keep looking at it to remind myself that it happened. It's christmas eve and it's so fucking humid. hot.

Some old fart at a Wal-mart runs into my shopping cart with his shopping cart last night while I was out grocery shopping alone. And my cart hits into me. It was

unpleasant. My mother put it best, "people in the south are just assholes."

Dear upstairs neighbors, are you drying shoes in your dryer again? Thanks. I enjoy a quiet evening. I also enjoy your music and the way you can't just ignore us like a good neighbor, but you have to say hi, introduce yourself to people that would rather you just disappeared. Yes, I know I knocked at your door at midnight in a night gown and an angry expression, but that doesn't mean we are on speaking terms. The walls and the windows are thin, so in a way it's good it never gets cold.

I go to work and almost gag when people come in smelling like pot. Pregnancy is the anti-drug, let me tell you.

And the Gamestops here are getting robbed by gunpoint, twice in the last week, thankfully not mine. I hate people.

Retail is making me cynical. I hate shitty lowlife people who rob places or who come in smelling like pot with their babies and all their friends, pants falling down, and a gold-toothed grin. I don't see what's so funny. Or what's worth smiling about.

except for maybe one thing

I made some badass sugar cookies today. Mmmm...they are so gewd.

I put up a tree, well shannon helped me put up a tree and we decorated it together. It's black and gold

shannon took some photos of me today but I'm not quite at 28 weeks yet (that's 7 months folks...yikes.) This is still the beginning of 27 weeks out of a whopping 40. I look rather drowsy...I promise I'm not on drugs I'm just exhausted all the time for no apparent reason.

It's nice to finally look pregnant since I've been pregnant for quite a few months now... People are starting to ask me when I'm due and stuff when I'm out or when I'm at work. And every time I post a new picture it seems like all i get is "wow your knockers are huge!"

Yes, I have noticed that not only is my stomach getting larger every week but my boobies are as well. I'm attributing a great deal of the weight gain due to that. lulz. I was fine before I got pregnant in the boob department. I didn't get morning sickness, I just got more boobs than I can handle. :\

you should come visit me for christmas. yes YOU. come see me.

The first week or so we were in baton rouge we turned on the news to hear a reporter talking about two guys who watched their pittbull eat a kitten.

And tonight after Heroes, we hear on the news about someone getting shot after they threatened a security guard with swords.

I'm going to raise a baby here?

I went out and around my apartment complex for a walk today to look for stuff to help with my fall decor, not pictured: bottle of bleu cheese dressing, nasty mop from the apartment next door. GROSS.
